The Process

It all starts when you place an order using whatever form is best for you – e-mail, fax, phone, or online, or just provide us with interrogatory responses. Your dedicated litigation support Client Representative handles your order from start to finish!

CCI can obtain medical records and other records using a subpoena, authorization or court order. When CCI obtains records by subpoena, in addition to preparing the subpoena and noticing the service list, we can, if you so request, offer to provide copies to opposing counsel. Similarly, if we obtain medical records or other records by authorization, it is your choice whether we offer to provide copies to any other counsel. (We bill other counsel directly.)

We use our extensive database to locate custodians quickly and efficiently. Once the records are received, they are inspected by management for clarity and completeness, and medical and other records can be placed in chronological order.

All records are digitally archived in OCR searchable format in our online database. CCI provides this online repository for all your records, allowing us to supply additional copies should records become lost or unavailable at any time prior to conclusion of trial or settlement. Even better, you have the ability to view your records anytime from anywhere should the need arise. Please visit the Record Archives page to learn more about our litigation support services relating to online records.

The records obtained can also be burned to a CD, or provided in hard copy, assembled to your custom specifications (e.g., indexed, tabbed, paginated, bound (top or side), 2- or 3-hole punched, presented in binders).
